J.O. Wilson will be hosting this year’s Ward 6 Bird Count on Saturday, January 7th. Come help determine how many types of birds are in DC! Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided – along with a free raptor show!
For PK3-K students: 10:30-12:30: Bird arts and crafts, a nature walk at the school, and a raptor show!
For 1st-5th graders: 9:15-12:30: Meet at J.O. Wilson before heading out to parks across the District to count birds with experts. Then return to school for lunch and a raptor show!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Want to help out with the Bird Count? Organizers need help setting up tables in the cafeteria for meals/snacks and the raptor show. Assistance is also needed for the PK3-K art projects. If interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will connect you with the organizer to find out more!
